Royal Palace of Madrid
According to Wikipedia, "The palace has 135,000 square metres (1,450,000 sq ft) of floorspace and contains 3,418 rooms. It is the largest royal palace in Europe by floor area. "
This street near the Plaza de la Puerta del Sol is an excellent example of the beautiful Madrid architecture.
Plaza de la Villa
I loved the garden in this small square. It was one of the few gardens in bloom in February. This statue is of Alvaro de Bazan, the Spanish Admiral who planned the Armada.
Royal Palace Ceiling
Photography was not allowed in most of the Royal Palace, but I was able to capture this impressive ceiling in the main entrance.
